We are celebrating an Archieratical Memorial for the repose of his soul, in our Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation in Kisamos, on Sunday 17th April, urging everyone who honors his memory to participate.

The Vespers will take place on Saturday 5.30pm.

On the evening of the fifth Sunday of Lent, 17 April, at 6.30pm, at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation (Kissamos) will be celebrated a solemn Vespers, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan of Kissamos and Selinon Mr. Amphilochios. A spiritual homily will follow, by the Very Reverend Archim. Mr. Nicanor Papanikolaou, Abbot of the Holy Trinity Monastery of Sparmos, Olympus, entitled "In order not to lose our fasting." During the Vespers, the Holy Head of Saint Eustathius, which will be brought by the Abbot Mr. Nicanor, will be placed for veneration and blessing of the congregation.

These days, the Bookstore of our Metropolis "Hesperia" organizes a Children and Teenage Book exhibition in the premises of Tsatsaronakeio Cultural Multicenter. The exhibition, hosted in the foyer of Tsatsaronakeio Multicenter, will run until Friday, April 15 from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, with parallel events such as book launches, art performances and other activities.

On Sunday morning, Fourth Sunday of the Lent, His Eminence Our Metropolitan Mr. Amfilohios officiated at the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of Odigitria of Gonia where he celebrated a Memorial for the repose of the fallen, to commemorate 150 years from the beginning of the Revolution of 1866 and the inauguration of Fighters, held in the old church of the Holy Monastery of Gonia.

A timely speech followed by the Mayor of Kolimbari Mr. Polychronis Polychronidis, who referred to the events of the time. The event was enriched by the participation of the "KISAMOS" Association of Rizites, who masterfully performed rizitika songs. At the end of the event, relatives of the fighters were awarded commemorative honorary diplomas.

On the evening of the Fourth Sunday of Lent at the Holy Cathedral of St. Spyridon in Kisamos took place the Fourth Solemn Vespers, presided over by His Eminence our Metropolitan Mr. Amfilohios. It was followed by a spiritual homily by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Mr. Ephraim Triantafillopoulos, Chancellor of the Holy Metropolis of Sisanio and Siatista, on: "Apathetic as the dead and simple as children." The speaker referred to St. John of the Ladder, as well as the power of prayer, without which he said: "God's Grace" is absent.
